Parents Give Their Kids the Love of Learning with Max’s Toolbox
The idea that kids learn more when they are entertained is at the heart of an exciting new suite of learning programs called Max’s Toolbox.
Developed in Australia in collaboration with early childhood educators, Max’s Toolbox is the world’s only junior version of popular software Microsoft® Office. It’s already being used in primary and nursery schools around Australia, the UK and United States and has only recently become available for home use.
This extraordinary new children’s educational software package “grows up” with each child so it’s never out of date.
Like training wheels for grown-up software, Max’s Toolbox teaches all about word processing (MaxWrite), electronic presentations complete with sound and pictures (MaxShow) and spreadsheets (MaxCount), including charts and counting. To use the programs, make sure you have Microsoft Office already installed on your computer.
Computers have become part of our children’s everyday lives and though these lively programs are colourful and fun to use, ultimately they are teaching children skills they’ll use right through school and in their future careers.
Children love Max’s Toolbox because it doesn’t confine them to pre-programmed activities like a lot of computer games do. They can use the MaxPaint to create artwork, listen to Peedy the Talking Bird read their stories, or insert their own sounds and pictures. The complexity increases as the child’s skill in using the programs increases.
Parents love Max’s Toolbox because it’s not a game that children use for a couple of weeks then throw under the bed.
