Application Error Occurs when you Launch MaxWrite

Symptoms

When trying to launch MaxWrite, an Application Alert error message from Max's Toolbox is displayed. When launching Microsoft® Word, an Application Alert error message from Max's Toolbox is displayed. The Max's Toolbox Icon will not appear within Microsoft® Word.

Cause

This issue occurs on Microsoft® Windows 2000 or Microsoft® Windows XP operating system and Microsoft® Office XP or Microsoft® Office 2003 where Adobe Acrobat 6.0 has been installed. Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and Max's Toolbox try to add their toolbars into Microsoft® Word at the same time.

Resolution

We are currently working on a resolution for this issue and will update this issue as soon as the fix is available. The following workaround will enable you to use Max's Toolbox whilst temporarily disabling the Adobe Acrobat Toolbars.

1. Close all Office applications including Microsoft Outlook.
2. Remove the Adobe "PDFMaker.dot" from the following location C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\Startup.
