Symptoms

After playing a presentation MaxShow© freezes.

Cause

Known problem when a COM Addin program is interfaced with Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 running on a Microsoft Windows 9x/ME operating system.

Resolution

1. Click the link to download the hotfix.
2. Once the hotfix is downloaded simply run it by double clicking on it and follow the prompts.
3. Next you will have to enable MaxShow to be connected again to Microsoft PowerPoint 2002.
4. From the Start menu select Run.
   
5. In the Run dialog box type regedit and click the OK button.
   
6. In the Registry Editor expand the keys as illustrated until you reach the MaxShow.Connect key.
   
7. Double click on the LoadBehavior value.
   
8. The following dialog box will be displayed.
   
9. In the Value data textbox change the value from 2 to 3 and click the OK button.
10. Close the Registry Editor.
