Max's Sandbox Version 1.5 is not compatible with Office 2003

Symptoms

If you try to install Max's Sandbox Version 1.5 on Office 2003 you will informed that you do not have the correct version of Office and the install process will end.

However we are aware that if you have Max's Sandbox Version 1.5 installed and perform an upgrade to Office 2003 there are a couple of compatibility issues including:

1. Save and Save As - Previews generated for saved documents, presentations and worksheets are not an accurate representation of the saved file.
2. Read button - Peedy does not read the presentation.
3. Play button - Peedy randomly stops and starts reading on different slides.
4. Play with Sound button - Sounds added to clipart are not played.
5. Text to Speech Application Option - When disabled within the Max's Sandbox Options Tool it is still available within MaxShow.
6. Computer Configuration Tab - Does not recognise the version of Office that is installed on the PC.

Cause

Max's Sandbox Version 1.5 is not compatible with Office 2003

Resolution

As Max's Sandbox version 1.5 is crafted specifically around Office 2000 and 2002 and regrettably we are unable to correct these issues.

These items are addressed in Max's Sandbox Version 2.0 that is due for release in the first quarter of 2004.
