Max's Toolbox displays an error with description

Symptoms

When launching any of the Max's Toolbox applications the following error message is displayed.

Error Number: '429'
Error Source: 'MSMaxAppLib'
Error Description: 'ActiveX component can't create object' Localisation.Construct()

Cause

The language version of Max's Toolbox does not match the Windows Locale. If you are using Max's Toolbox UK version your computer needs its Windows Locale to be English (United Kingdom). If you are using Max's Toolbox Australian version your computer needs its Windows Locale to be English (Australia).

Resolution

To fix this problem you need to change the Windows locale by:
  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Select Regional Settings or Regional and Language settings.
  3. Change Locale to be English (Australia) or English (United Kingdom) depending on the version of Max's Toolbox you have installed.
  4. Click the Trusted Sources tab, select the check box next to the Trust all installed add-ins and templates option.
  5. Click the Apply button.
  6. Click the Close button.
